Azimuthal Equidistant Map
(Great Circle Beam Heading Chart)

Picture of Great Circle Map

As seen in QST magazine, November 2008 issue.

Great Circle maps are a special type of map projection that stretch a world map onto a 360° circle centered on your location. This creates a world map that will show you the true beam heading from you to any location in the world.

For example, the following detail section of a Great Circle map shows the beam heading from Virginia to southern England is 50 degrees:

At the bottom of the map is a chart showing beam headings and distances in nautical miles to the capital cities of countries around the world:

These maps can be generated for any location in the world, as long as we have your latitude/longitude in our HamCall database.

Our price for each map is $12 each (shipping additional.) Printed on high-quality 8 1/2" x 11" paper and laminated for protection. This is an invaluable DX resource that does not require a computer!

To order an Azimuthal Equidistant Map for $12, enter your callsign here:
If you do not have a callsign, you can enter your name in the blank. However, you will need to include your latitude/longitude coordinates in your order.
